Check the court details first

Toronto Provincial Offences Courts

Toronto uses three Provincial Offences Court locations. Check the location code printed on the top left of your ticket: 4860 is 92 Front Street East, 2nd Floor; 4862 is 2700 Eglinton Avenue West; and 4863 is 1530 Markham Road.

Read the ticket or summons

The court location, offence number, response date and whether you received an offence notice or a summons are the details to confirm before responding.

Preserve the useful details

Keep the original document, take clear photos of every page, and record the date, road, traffic conditions, and sequence of events while details are fresh. Do not alter the ticket or summons.

Which Toronto court handles my traffic ticket?

Use the location code and court information printed on your ticket or summons. Toronto lists three Provincial Offences Court locations, so the document you received controls.

Follow the response date and instructions printed on your own ticket. A standard offence notice normally requires a response within 15 days, while a summons can have a different appearance date and instructions.

What should I keep before I respond?

Keep the original ticket or summons, take clear photographs of every page, and write down the date, road, traffic conditions and sequence of events while the details are still fresh.
